Special Meeting held between Fuman Faculty of Engineeringofficials and the Research and Technology Department of Khazar Oil Company.

On Tuesday, April 2, 1404, a meeting was held at the Fuman Faculty of Engineering with the participation of the faculty board, the department head of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, faculty members of the Petroleum Engineering department, and colleagues from the Research and Technology Department of Khazar Oil Company. 
Khazar Oil Company, a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company, is involved in the exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbon resources (with a focus on exploration management) in the South Caspian Basin and the coastal provinces of Mazandaran, Golestan, and Gilan. The company oversees the implementation of all contracts signed between the National Iranian Oil Company and international companies for studying and developing oil fields in the Caspian Sea, as well as monitoring the environment.
In line with the company's growing activities in Gilan province, it was agreed to officially collaborate in various areas, including:
- Study and research
- Product design
- Major repairs (with a reverse engineering approach to infrastructures and other equipment of platforms and floating units in the Caspian Sea)
- Localization of products and equipment
- Enhancing technology readiness level (TRL) for the equipment in use
This collaboration will take place through topic-specific memorandums of understanding (MOUs).
After presenting the potential of Fouman Faculty of Engineering and understanding the activities and needs of the company, a visit was made to the Instrumental Analysis Center and Petroleum Engineering laboratories at the faculty. During this visit and discussion, colleagues from the Research and Technology Department of Khazar Oil Company got acquainted with the research activities of faculty members and students (undergraduate and graduate) in the design of specialized software and laboratory research.
It is hoped that this meeting and visit will lead to effective actions and enhance the quality of the activities at Fouman Faculty of Engineering and further strengthen connections with related industries in Gilan province.
